Its been a while since I've posted, so I thought we'd kick things off with this amazing collection of photographs from the wedding of Shaun and Cassie, captured by Jonas Peterson.
Married December 2011 at a private property on the Mornington Peninsula, the bride styled and planned the whole day herself, keeping things minimal and in tone with the beautiful surrounds.
The bride and groom kept the day small and intimate with around 40 guests, many of which helped out along the way, baking cakes or slices for the dessert table, setting up the day before or helping collect crockery in the months leading up.
A word from the bride:
'A small, simple, natural and intimate day shared with only our very closest friends and family was always the idea for our dream wedding. With a small budget the invitations, decorations, styling and flowers were all DIY. It was a lot of hard work doing it yourself but we were very lucky to have a lot of help from our friends and families to pull it all together, which in the end made it all the more special.
'We always wanted our family members to all be involved in the day, so each had their own special roles, including our grandmothers who each held a ring which they then passed onto the best man as a special part of the ceremony. We also wrote our vows together, which we read one vow at a time back and forth between us. It was a bit of fun but we had the crowd in tears at the end of them.
'We had both wanted our wedding in the summer so we could have our reception under the stars. So the 40 of us sat down at one long table to share a rustic BBQ dinner, Argentinien style (my maid of honour is Argentinean) with yummy charcoal grilled ribs! We had the most amazing day with loads of special memories (and gorgeous photographs) that we will have forever. We wish we could do it all over again!'
Check out the stunning collection of photographs below (with so many amazing images it was hard to only pick a few).
